Plant Dyed Play Silk -lilac

Hand dyed with brazilwood and cochineal, sustainably harvested by a growers co-operative, then dyed in our workshop. Light enough to float and swirl, but durable in an 8 momme weight 36" silk square.

Playsilks are the most used toy in our house. Every day they are pulled from their basket to form playmats-making fields, hills and rivers; to make into costumes, into puppets, into houses on playstands- the uses and inventions are endless! Playsilks can be used to decorate a puppet stage, use for a doll blanket, beautify a nature table or corner or to swirl and fly in the wind! Just wonderful!
